Acorn Law
Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 1, 2026
Acorn Law PC (“we”) explains how we handle website, inquiry, and appointment information. This notice does not replace our professional duties.
Information and uses
We receive names, email addresses, phone numbers, appointment details, messages, and preferences you provide. We use them to respond, schedule, assess assistance, check conflicts, maintain records, and market our services. To stop marketing, email [email protected] or use the message’s unsubscribe instructions. Service communications may continue. Keep confidential documents and sensitive details out of initial messages and booking notes.
Contact messages
Our contact form collects your name, email address, phone number, and optional message. Resend processes those details to email the inquiry to our firm and send a standard acknowledgement to the address you enter. The acknowledgement does not repeat your message. We use your submission to respond and manage your inquiry. File uploads are not accepted. Please do not send confidential documents or detailed sensitive information through this form.
Appointments
Our booking pages automatically load Calendly’s embedded scheduler. Loading it sends Calendly technical information such as IP address, browser/device details, and the booking-page request before you book. Our embed does not send the parent-page URL as a referrer. Calendly may use cookies and show its own privacy controls. It processes contact details, appointment choices, optional notes, and guest details to arrange meetings. Appointment information is added to our Google calendar; Zoom processes information needed for Zoom meetings. Provide guest details only with permission. See https://calendly.com/legal/privacy-notice and https://www.zoom.com/en/trust/privacy/privacy-statement/.
SMS appointment reminders
If you choose SMS reminders in Calendly and provide a mobile number, Calendly and its messaging provider, Twilio, process that number and appointment details to deliver reminders. This choice is optional and is for appointment reminders, not marketing texts. Reply STOP to the sending number to opt out; reply HELP for messaging help. Ordinary replies to reminder texts are not delivered to or monitored by Acorn Law. Contact [email protected] for appointment questions or changes.
Security and service providers
Hosting/security providers process technical data such as IP addresses, browser/device details, requested pages, referrers, and request times. Cloudflare Turnstile evaluates device/network signals to distinguish people from bots. Our Cloudflare-hosted system keeps coded abuse/duplicate-submission identifiers and delivery-status metadata, rather than raw contact messages, in its application metadata database. We may disclose information with authorization or as legally required or permitted, subject to professional duties. See https://www.cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-policy/.
Office map
The Google Map loads only when you select Load Google Map. That connects your browser to Google, which can receive your IP address and device/browser information and use cookies under its policies. You can leave the map unloaded. Google’s privacy policy is at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics is not currently enabled on Acorn Law’s own pages. We may add analytics in the future to understand site use and improve it. We will update this notice to describe the tools, information collected, and available choices before enabling them.
Advertising and your choices
We market our services to prospective clients but do not provide inquiry or client contact details to third parties for their own marketing. We have not added Google Ads or Meta/Facebook advertising trackers or remarketing to Acorn Law’s own pages. Embedded providers may collect activity over time and across sites under their own policies.
Leaving Analytics off does not control Calendly or other provider cookies and processing; use their available choices.
Retention contact and changes
Retention depends on the purposes described here, any representation, and legal/professional duties, and varies by record and provider. Resend’s current Free plan retains email and log data for 30 days; that is separate from records retained in our mailbox and other systems. Our abuse/delivery metadata older than two days and expired counters are cleaned during later requests, so deletion is not guaranteed exactly at that age. Linked and embedded providers have their own policies and controls. No electronic transmission is guaranteed secure.
For questions or access, correction, or deletion requests, email [email protected] or write to Acorn Law PC, 310 N. Westlake Blvd. Ste. 100, Westlake Village, CA 91362. We may verify identity and handle requests as applicable law requires, subject to confidentiality and recordkeeping duties.
We post revisions here with an updated effective date. For material changes, we also post a website notice and provide further notice or obtain consent where required.
